Ingredients
  1. 1 large ripe tomato, peeled and finely chopped
  2. 1 large clove garlic, peeled and finely chopped
  3. 1⁄2 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped
  4. 1 Tablespoon cilantro, chopped
  5. 1 Tablespoon canola or corn oil
  6. 4 hot dogs, frankfurters or other link sausages
  7. 4 hot dog buns 2 ripe Hass avocados
  8. 1 teaspoon salt
  9. Freshly ground black pepper
  10. Mayonnaise for serving
Instructions
  1. Make tomato salsa by combining tomato, garlic, pepper, cilantro and oil.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  3. Boil steam or grill hot dogs.
  4. Toast lightly the buns, if you wish. Rinse, halve and seed the avocados.
  5. Scoop out and mash with salt and pepper.
  6. Put hot dogs in buns and spread with avocado then top with salsa.
