Latasha McCutchen

Latasha-McCutchenLaTasha McCutchen’s passion for food began while watching Chef Emeril Lagasse on “Essence of Emeril”. Coming from what she calls a modest food background, she started waiting tables to get more exposure to food. Then the crossroads came: stay with food or choose another path. She would go on to earn associate degrees from both Horry-Georgetown Technical College and Johnson & Wales University in Miami.

Chef McCutchen’s career as a professional chef started under Chef Paula DaSilva, another “Hell’s Kicthen” alum, at 1500°, an eatery inside Miami Beach’s Eden Roc resort. While working as lead line cook, “Hell’s Kitchen Season 13” held auditions at the Eden Roc. DaSilva encouraged the staff to try out, and McCutchen not only got selected for the show, she is also the second contestant in the history of Hell’s Kitchen to completely avoid being nominated for elimination throughout the entire season.
